We were lucky enough to team up with Eric Friedensohn, more commonly known as Efdot, to bring you limited-edition styles from original art that lived on billboards around Los Angeles.

Behind the Art

Q: What's the story behind this piece?

A: I think that art can be used as a mirror for not only myself but for the audience and I hope that when people look at this piece of art up on the billboard they'll actually see a little bit of themselves in it and it'll make them think a little deeper.

Q: Why are you a muralist?

A: One of the main reasons I create art is to help bring people together and help forge these new connections even if it's just a conversation that happens for 30 seconds, it really does impact people in some small way and i think that's just really cool.

Q: What's a main theme in your art?

A: I think color is one of the more important aspects of my work especially in the murals because it makes you jump off of the wall and you can just see it from really far away. Color brings people closer to it, it makes people want to interact with it and take photos with it. Color is just such an expression of emotion too, it can create an entire mood or change the whole vibe of your day.

Q: What do you like about this collaboration?

A: The thing that resonated with me about this project the most was the idea of upcycling the material and creating pieces of art that could have a second life as a product. People walk around with a piece of my art that was custom made for them and it's one of a kind.
